Sinchi Music unveils the seventh instalment in their Altered States series, showcasing six tracks from up-and-coming artists with unique sound palettes from across the globe. As always, the not-for-profit release sees the label support indigenous peoples worldwide via sales courtesy of the Sinchi Foundation, with artwork provided by Aboriginal artist
Wayne Quilliam.

An analogue gear head whose sound veers between electro and funk with a hint of cosmic disco, Pascal Boyer’s ‘Plastic’ featuring vocalist YA opens the package in style as the Parisian merges resonant guitar licks, escalating synths beneath alluring vocals to reveal a production full of attitude.

Debuting on DURO earlier this year, Bruce the Bat Person’s sound focuses on percussion accented by warping, hazy atmospheres. There’s no change here as he weaves a kaleidoscope of sweeping melodies and tripped-out vocals for a tumbling, twisting journey across ‘Eychedelichs’.

Based in Milan, DJ and producer Irene Radice celebrates traditional Italian music while transporting it into modern settings and giving it new life within electronic realms. Shaping immersive journeys through dreamy minimal territories to more electronic-leaning pockets to balance light and dark, ‘Rays Of Light’ featuring Cristina Mae exemplifies her signature sound as she unveils a captivating slice of vocal-led electronica.

Hive Audio, trndmsk and LNDKHN alumnus Ruben Coslada is no stranger to wide-reaching influences, having relocated from Madrid to Zürich via Nice, playing across a host of Switzerland’s illustrious clubs in Klaus, Frieda Büxe and Revier. Fusing his rock background with components from organic house through to dark disco, his diverse style brings a unique trip throughsonic spheres, exemplified by his production ‘Bittersweet Regina’.

A classically trained drummer and musician, Cafius’ compositions and productions are geared towards making dancefloors move. One of the most promising new producers amongst indie dance, Italo and EBM, ‘Synthesis’ is a pumping effort spanning cosmic tones to dark chuggy business.

Closing the show is Munich-based vagabond Alemao, whose journey through Berlin, Paris, Hamburg, Barcelona, Dublin and beyond has brought influences from Europe’s most renowned clubs. Producing music not confined by genres, ‘Discoacuerdo’ wraps up the package with authority as metallic drum shots and modulated synths guide eerie vocals to launch right into peak time hours.
